A Hard-Left History Geek Plays Minecraft

012: Trevethian Station

The name was kind of random. I originally meant to give it the proper Welsh spelling of Trefeddian, but couldn’t remember if there were two Fs or a Y in there, and while I have Minecraft running, I don’t have enough system resources on my poor old laptop to be able to run a browser as well, and totally forgot that I could have looked it up on my phone.

I think I meant to line the interior when I dug out the station, but just didn’t get to it. This was very much a waypoint on the push down to the Woodland Mansion, and it shows. No décor, incomplete design, you know, like the slapped together labour camps that the navvies got when they were building the railroad. Why spend a lot of time and effort on a station that’s not much more than a glorified construction shack? One of the more subtle ways this game enforces capitalistic thought.

The two spots of décor – the bed was made with yellow wool because I had some laying about and hadn’t done much with it, and the imperial banner got lanterns instead of torches. Oh, and there’s that one spot of granite up in the corner of an otherwise grey cobblestone station, but I can’t take credit for that. It was there before I started digging. Let’s move on to the next station.
